On Sunday, August 30, the concert that closed the session of the “Seiji Ozawa International Academy Switzerland” 2020 will be broadcast on RTS-Espace 2. You can access the broadcast by clicking here.
Eight senior musicians met at the beginning of July in Paris, then at the Château de Rolle to work in octet and sextet. Sadao Harada was present; Nobuko Imai, Pamela Frank and Kazuki Yamada advised the musicians from all over the world. After a few days of intense practicing, the musicians performed in front of a small audience at the Château de Rolle. The next day, they were recorded at the empty Victoria Hall by RTS-Espace 2. What a pleasure it was for the musicians to get together, to work together, to meet their teachers and their audience. The quality of their performance, their presence and their enthusiasm are strong signs of the vitality of the Academy and a great promise for the future!
The program includes the String Sextet op.18 by Johannes Brahms and the String Octet op.5 by Reinhold Glière.
With eight senior musicians of the Seiji Ozawa International Academy Switzerland: Suyoen Kim, Julien Szulman, Shuichi Okada, Alexandre Pascal, violins, Manuel Vioque-Judde, Violaine Despeyroux, violas, Bumjun Kim, Jérémy Garbarg, cellos.
